Peyton Manning would be ‘all in’ for golf match with Woods, Mickelson, Brady

Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods are expected to face off in a golf match later this year and Golf.com reported last month that Peyton Manning and Tom Brady will join the event to help raise money for COVID-19 relief.

Speaking to Brandon Stokley and Zach Bye on 104.3 The Fan on Wednesday, Manning said that he wasn’t sure if the event will happen or not but he indicated that he would be “all in” if it does take place.

“I don’t know if it’s going to happen or not but, what I know about it is, it was talked about [even before the coronavirus] and now having a chance to have a major fund-raising event for COVID-19 relief almost like a telethon if you will . . . if that can take place, I’m all in for that,” Manning said.

“To raise money for a number of different causes — there’s a lot of people hurting right now, businesses, people in the healthcare industry, restaurants, you name it — so if we can participate in a sporting event that raises money for that, then I am all in on that. So we’ll see.”

Manning golfed with Woods before at Memorial pro-ams in 2019, 2018, 2009 and 2005. If the event does take place, the participants will exercise social distancing on the course and there will be no fans in attendance.
