Peyton Manning watched nephew Arch account for 6 TDs

Former Colts and Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was in attendance in New Orleans, Louisiana on Friday evening to watch his nephew Arch put six touchdowns on the scoreboard.

Arch is a freshman who is starting for Isidore Newman High School’s varsity football team, the same team that Peyton and Eli Manning played for in high school. Arch is the son of Cooper Manning, who was a star wide receiver at Newman but had his football career cut short when he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis before he went to college.

Archie Manning, Arch’s grandfather, said in a recent interview that the freshman quarterback is ahead of where Peyton and Eli were at his age. Archie earned two Pro Bowl nods during his NFL career, and Peyton and Eli each won two Super Bowls.

Arch threw four touchdown passes and rushed for two more scores in a 48-21 win over Riverside Academy on Friday evening that improved Isidore Newman to 7-0 on the season. Newman will face St. Charles Catholic (6-1) this Friday.
