Peyton Manning paired with Tiger Woods for Memorial pro-am

Former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning was paired with PGA Tour star Tiger Woods for the pro-am portion of the Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio, this week. This marks the second year in a row that the two have been paired together at the tournament.

Overall, this is the fourth time Manning and Woods have been paired up — they previously golfed together in 2018, 2009 and 2005.

During his accomplished NFL career, Manning won Super Bowls with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos. He is the only QB to ever to start — and win — Super Bowls with two different teams.

Manning seemed to greatly enjoy being paired with Woods last year.

“Getting a chance to go behind the ropes … in football you don’t get a chance to really have a 12th guy in the huddle,” Manning told ESPN’s Mike Wells. “It’s really neat for me to go behind the scenes and go into their world for a little bit and see how they think about certain things and how they prepare. It was really special.”

Woods won his fifth Masters in April, completing an impressive sports comeback story. He has now won 15 major championships.

Because the pro-am tournament is not a competitive event, the scores for Manning and Woods won’t be available to the public. It will be a memorable event for everyone involved, though, especially if Manning signs autographs at all 18 holes like he did in 2018.
