Peyton Manning is coaching up the next generation of quarterbacks

Former Colts and Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was in Thibodaux, Louisiana this week to help with the annual “Manning Passing Academy.”

The quarterback camp is hosted by Archie Manning and two of his sons, Peyton and Eli. The family invites quarterback prospects in eighth through twelfth grade as well as college QBs to serve as camp counselors.

After coaching up the high schoolers, the college players are coached up themselves by QBs with NFL experience, including Peyton and Eli. Drew Lock, Denver’s second-round pick in this year’s draft, was among the college QBs that attended last year’s camp.

This year’s list of counselors included Colorado State junior Collin Hill.

“He was awesome, really nice, super encouraging,” Hill said in a recent interview with CSU’s website. “It was weird at first to be dropping back and Peyton Manning just said, ‘good ball.'”

Peyton is helping coach up the next generation of QBs, including his nephew, Arch. The son of Cooper Manning will be a freshman at Isidore Newman this fall and he already looks like a promising prospect.
