Peyton Manning conducts the Colorado Symphony Orchestra because -- why not?

June 17--Peyton Manning makes headlines for his music antics almost as much as for his football prowess.

This time, the Denver Broncos star quarterback was in the news for conducting the Colorado Symphony Orchestra on Tuesday night in a rendition of "Rocky Top," a song his alma mater, the University of Tennessee, has been performing for years.

Yeah, maybe he was holding the conductor's baton upside down, but knowing Manning's sense of humor; he probably did that on purpose.

The performance occurred at Sports Authority Field at Mile High during the inaugural Taste of Broncos, a team meet-and-greet mixed with some fancy food; proceeds benefiting a food bank, according to the team.

Other players also led the Colorado Symphony in other alma mater songs, but it was Manning who got most of the attention because he is Peyton Manning, but also because this is not the first time he has jammed.

Last season, a video of Manning dancing at practice, once again to "Rocky Top," became a popular meme as soon as it was posted online.

Manning likes to sing, too, which fans love and haters hate. Manning has joined country music stars on stage to sing along with them numerous times, including Kenny Chesney and Luke Bryan.
