Peyton Manning comments on Joe Flacco’s ‘fresh start’ with Broncos

Peyton Manning was 36 years old when he joined the Denver Broncos in 2012. He went on to play four more seasons, winning the AFC West four times and helping the team reach the Super Bowl twice.

This offseason, the Broncos signed a 34-year-old Joe Flacco, who has one Super Bowl win under his belt, just like Manning did when he arrived in Denver.

Speaking with media members at a Broncos practice last week, Manning spoke about Flacco’s transition to a new team.

“Yeah, a little bit [I can relate],” Manning said, via KMGH-TV’s Troy Renck. “It’s a fresh start. I think Joe handled it well last year, but he wanted to be out there and was a pro and tried to do the best he could for the team.

“But he had a chance to be in a new place and has a chance to be the starter and I know he’ll probably be hungrier than he has been in a while to go out there.”

Manning helped Denver win Super Bowl 50 in 2016 before retiring at age 39. The Broncos would be thrilled to get another Super Bowl win before Flacco decides to hang up his cleats.
