Peugeot enhances the appeal of 108 city car

PEUGEOT has updated its popular 108 city car – ditching the three-door model altogether in favour of the more practical five-door variant.

Other changes made by the French brand include the choice of two new grey and white paint colours across the three trim levels (Active, Allure and Collection) and refreshed interior trims.

Top-spec Collection 108s will now come with body-coloured handles, replacing the previous chrome design, as well as special 15in alloy wheels with orange centre wheel caps.

Inside, Collection models feature new Orange Maya Line Jusa trims with Yellow Sun stitching, while a new interior ambience is linked to the exterior paint colour when selecting the Smooth Green or Calvi Blue paint options.

All other body colours for the Collection trim will feature a Glossy Black with Grained Black interior ambience.

Active versions will continue to offer White Line Jusa interior finishing and a Charcoal Grey ambience, while Allure will also offer an additional Gloss Black centre console ambience.

All 108s will still be powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder stop/start engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, with prices starting from £13,320.

Peugeot UK managing director Julie David said: “With new colours and interior ambiences, the 108 remains a stylish city car. Now offered exclusively as a five-door variant, it is suitable for drivers wanting to travel with friends and family.”
