'Petty' woman travels 6,000 miles to remove love-lock from tourist attraction

A woman has revealed she travelled 5,953 miles from Los Angeles in the US to Seoul in South Korea to remove a love lock from a popular tourist attraction she left there.

Kassie Yeung documented the "petty" act on TikTok, where it has since racked up almost five million views.

Kassie and her ex travelled to the top of the N Seoul Tower, commonly known as the Namsan Tower, in 2019 to add a padlock there before returning in the spring of 2021 to remove it out of "pettiness," she told Insider.

Namsan Tower has become a major tourist attraction for couples attaching padlocks often inscribed with their initials or a heartfelt message to symbolise their undying love to one another, to the railing there.

In the clip, she can be seen taking a flight to Seoul, buying a pair of pliers and riding the cable cart up to the tower.

When she arrives, she searches through the locks until she finds one belonging to her and her ex, and proceeds to cut it free.

Kassie then turns to the camera with a big grin on her face as the caption reads: "F yeah."

The text reads: “I am one petty mf [motherf**ker] idc [I don’t care] what anyone says”.

She went back to remove it (Tiktok)

Since being posted, the video has racked up more than one million likes and thousands of comments.

One person said: "I mean the utmost respect when I say this but I fear you."

Another viewer wrote: "That is simply QUEEN behaviour."

Whilst a third joked: "Snip my dad and mistress' lock for me," to which Kassie replied: "OH MY GOD, GLADLY."

"I knew as soon as you got off the plane and got those pliers...... HAHAHAHA," wrote someone else.

And one person admitted: "This is amazing hahaha I left one in Paris. Gotta go snip snip too."
