Petrol stations across Scotland introducing maximum spending limit - full list

The huge lines of queues for fuel this week has led to petrol stations across Scotland introducing a maximum spending limit for drivers.

A shortage of lorry drivers has resulted in difficulties transporting fuel to stations across the whole of the UK, leading some motorists to panic buy.

As drivers rushed to stations all across Scotland and the UK, leading pumps to run dry and garages close, government officials and supermarkets urged customers to keep calm and purchase fuel as normal.

Some forecourts across Scotland have now introduced a new £30 fuel top up limit.

Forecourts owned by the EG group, who also operate stations in the whole of the UK, will now limit the amount of petrol drivers can top up their car with.

The company owns 17 garages in Scotland's major cities in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, and Aberdeen - all which have now imposed the top up limit for drivers.

The top up limit has been introduced as a way to make sure that every customers gets a fair chance at topping up their vehicle and will, hopefully, lead to less panic buying and forecourt closures.

An EG Group spokesperson said: "Due to the current unprecedented customer demand for fuel and associated supply challenges we have taken the decision to introduce a limit of £30 per customer on all of our grades of fuel."

"This is a company decision to ensure all our customers have a fair chance to refuel and to enable our sites to carry on running smoothly.

"We kindly ask everyone visiting our sites to treat our colleagues, supply chain partners and customers with respect during these very challenging times."

Here below is a list of the stations in Scotland that are owned by the EG group.
