Petr Cech offered new role at Arsenal but could head to Premier League rival

Arsenal and Chelsea are set to do battle to land goalkeeper Petr Cech in a coaching role at the end of the season.

The Czech keeper is considering his options as he prepares to hang up his gloves when this season draws to a close.

According to The Sun , he's been offered the chance to stay at the Emirates with the Gunners in a coaching capacity - but former club Chelsea also want him back.

Cech has already started working towards his coaching badges and will now make a decision on where his future lies in the summer.

He's still yet to decide whether he will commit his post-playing career to coaching or explore other options - but he has no shortage of attractive options on the table.

Cech enjoyed a glittering career at Stamford Bridge with four Premier League titles over the course of an 11-year spell.

His return could be as a coach or club ambassador given his standing in West London.

The emergence of Thibaut Courtois saw Cech depart for London rivals Arsenal in 2015, helping them win the FA Cup in 2017.

But a hamstring injury early this season saw Bernd Leno take over as No.1 before Cech announced in January that he'd retire from playing in May.

The two London clubs are keen to have him on board behind the scenes once he finishes playing but his long-term future remains unclear.
