Petr Cech issues statement on his future - but Arsenal star DOES have Chelsea offer

Petr Cech insists he will make a decision on his future at the end of the season.

Arsenal keeper Cech, 37, who will retire after the Europa League final, has been offered a job by former club Chelsea .

But Cech told last month he will weigh up his options once the Gunners have faced their London rivals in Baku.

Chelsea appear determined to bring back their former keeper in some capacity.

The Blues have declined to comment on a potential return for Cech, who joined from Rennes in 2004 and enjoyed a trophy-laden stint at Stamford Bridge, before joining Arsenal in 2015.

Cech took to social media on Tuesday night to state that his sole focus at present is on the upcoming Europa League Final, as he seeks to end his playing career on a high.

He declared: "Despite the news today as I had already said to everybody before , I’ll make decision about my future after the last game . Now my sole focus is to win the EL with @Arsenal"

Cech has been Arsenal's No.1 throughout the knockout stages of the competition, despite having lost his place in the Premier League to German stopper Bernd Leno.

And his eyes are firmly fixed on silverware when the two sides face off in Baku.

"I always say the final is there to win, nothing else. In 10 years, nobody remembers who you beat, only the one who won, so you have to be on the winning side."

The four-time Premier League winner was also a winner of the Europa League during his time with the Blues, beating Benfica in the 2013 final in Amsterdam.

Asked about his future in Valencia after the semi-final win at the Mestalla earlier this month, he admitted "the door is open for whatever comes".
