Peterborough United vs Sunderland team news - Ross Stewart starts

Lee Johnson made three changes to the side that started Friday's win against Oxford United at the Stadium of Light.

January signing Ross Stewart made his first start for the Black Cats, replacing Lynden Gooch.

And Grant Leadbitter and Carl Winchester came into midfield, with Josh Scowen and Conor McLaughlin making way.

Leadbitter was a straight swap for Scowen, but Max Power dropped back to fill the right-back role in place of McLaughlin, with Winchester filling the gap left in midfield.

Denver Hume was also included in the squad for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury at the start of December, taking a place on the bench.

Peterborough won at Fleetwood on Friday, and boss Darren Ferguson made one change to the side that started at Highbury Stadium.

Jack Taylor replaced Reece Brown in the starting XI.
