Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has opened up on how he would love to see Tottenham’s Son Heung-min at Old Trafford.
Son was part of the Spurs side that suffered their first defeat under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, bringing an end to their three game winning run under the Portuguese.
Mourinho’s immediate impact on several players in the Tottenham squad is already clear for all to see, with Dele Alli continuing his fine goal scoring form at the Theatre of Dreams.
But despite the goal, it was Son who caught the eye of Schmeichel in Wednesday’s encounter with the keeper branding him “an incredible player”.
“I would love to see him [at Old Trafford],” the former goalkeeper said on Amazon Prime Video.
“Yeah I know [there’s quite a few I would have from Spurs].
“He is an incredible player. It really is difficult to understand how good he is.”
Meanwhile, former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp opted to highlight all three of Mourinho’s attackers.
“You look at that forward line,” Redknapp said. “Lucas Moura, Son, Dele Alli in behind [Harry] Kane. It’s incredible.
“This fella’s a great player, Son. He really is an amazing talent. Work and enthusiasm, he plays with a smile on his face.
“He just looks like a great character to me, you’d love to have him in your team.”
