Peter Rabbit returns for a good cause

The disobedient Peter Rabbit and his well-behaved sisters Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail debuted in Beatrix Potter's picture letter dated Sept 4, 1893.

It evolved into a classic children's book, The Tale Of Peter Rabbit, which was commercially published by Frederick Warne & Co in 1902.

The origin of the anthropomorphic characters was actually associated with the sick.

Potter sent the illustrated letter to cheer up Annie Moore's son named Noel, who was recovering from scarlet fever.

In the same way, the beloved bunny in an iconic blue jacket is helping patients at Ramathibodi Hospital.

Peter Rabbit has hopped into Ramathibodi Foundation's new charitable memorabilia collection, under the "Giving Life And Happiness" concept.

All proceeds will be donated to a project for underprivileged patients and support the purchasing of medical equipment for the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital.

Heart motifs are incorporated into the designs.

One of the scarves features Peter Rabbit with his mother, against a background of little flowers and leaves forming a big heart. The central motif is bordered by other fictional characters such as Tom Kitten, Squirrel Nutkin, Jemima Puddle-duck and Mr Jeremy Fisher.

An apron portrays Peter Rabbit and his cousin Benjamin Bunny with vegetables while T-shirts feature him with a heart motif or in the garden.

Other items include pyjamas, hats, various bags, neck pillows, umbrellas and temperature-controlled mugs.

The Peter Rabbit collection is available at the Ramathibodi Foundation at Ramathibodi Hospital and Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute in Samut Prakan, ramafoundation.or.th, LINE @RAMAFOUNDATION, LINE SHOPPING and Robinhood.
