Peter Queally 'sick' Bellator Dublin might go ahead behind closed doors as he sends message to fans

If they didn't listen to Peter Queally the first time, they better the second time around.

The Showstopper has promised fans 'bedlam' as he prepares to go to war with Patricky 'Pitbull' Freire at Bellator Dublin in October.

After delivering on a promise to fans of a barn burner against Ryan Scope in his last 3 Arena outing, Queally has vowed there'll be more of the same when he takes on Bellator two-weight champ Patricio 'Pitbull' Freire's brother.

But just under two months out from the October 3rd card, and with doubts lingering over whether fans will be allowed attend the event, Queally has admitted he's 'sick' that fans might be robbed of the clash.

The infamous capital crowd has seen Dublin become a jewel on the Bellator Europe crown, and the SBG man reckons an event without the fans will take away from the occasion.

"Of course (it takes away from the atmosphere), but what can we do?

"It will massively take away from it, I'm actually sick over it to be honest. It is looking more and more likely that there won't be a crowd.

"Wherever it is there certainly won't be a capacity crowd I guess, but that is what makes my fights and what makes my Dublin fights."

With government restrictions on self-isolation and mass gatherings, it remains unclear whether the October 3 event can go ahead in the capital.

However, the Waterford native is adamant that Bellator contingency plans mean that he'll be in action.

He stated: "Bellator were very clear with me that this fight will be happening.

"At all costs they said they'd be making this fight happen, so I just believe them and the message has stayed the same - it's happening.

"One way or another, I am fighting on the 3rd of October."

And when Queally does step into the cage, he's confident that all hell will break loose.

In a nod of respect to Pitbull's credentials, the Showstopper isn't sure what's going to happen as he glowed about his excitement for the eagerly anticipated bout.

"They (fans) know what to expect, what you always see in my fights," Queally said.

"This one is an easy one to get excited for, because in fairness to Patricky, he's a very good fighter.

"And more so than that, he comes in to try and kill you with every shot - and this is what I do as well - I'm coming in to try and kill him.

"This is just going to be a car crash, I don't know how this is going to end to be honest. I don't know what way this is going to go. I'm very excited for it.

"It's a really good clash of styles, we're very similar and I think there can't be anything but an exciting outcome - I can't see any way this fight doesn't deliver."

A win against Patricky is sure to grab the attention of his brother, Patricio, with a chance to dethrone the two-weight champ a likely outcome.

But for now, Queally is once again predicting war when he walks down that 3 Arena ramp - and if his fight with Scope anything to go by - fans better take note.

"I was very vocal when I was fighting Ryan (Scope)," Queally noted.

"I said it was going to be a war, because it was very obvious it was going to be a war, and this one is going to be a war too.

"I don't know if one of us is capable of stopping the other, or if it's going to go to decision, but I can guarantee you it's going to be bedlam when it lasts."

He concluded: "Always listen to me, I don't get it wrong often".
