Peter Queally set to headline Bellator return to Dublin in October

Bellator are set to return to Dublin's 3Arena this October for yet another blockbuster show with SBG's own Peter Queally in the main event.

Queally is set to face Patricky “Pitbull” Freire, the older brother of current double world champion Patricio, in the headline slot after missing last month's Irish event through.

'The Showstopper' was set to face former champ Brent Primus before injury forced Queally to miss the card.

35-year-old Queally has fought twice in Bellator previously, with both bouts coming in the Docklands, a knockout win over Ryan Scope last September, and a split decision loss in a co-main event grudge match with Myles Price last February.

It will be Bellator's fourth 3Arena card in two years, and with the previous three all comfortably selling out, the expectation is there again for Irish fight fans to pack the near-12,000 capacity venue.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 20, with further fights to be announced "in the coming days" say the promotion.

With James Gallagher and Leah McCourt among the big names in action at May's London show, the pair could be lined up for Dublin returns later this year.

Also in the mix to compete will be fan favourites Kiefer Crosbie and Charlie Ward, while other stars such as Paul Redmond, Richard Kiely, Richie Smullen and Will Fleury could also feature.
