Peter Lovenkrands makes Rangers invincible claim but warns Ibrox stars to stay 'professional'

Peter Lovenkrands insists Rangers CAN go unbeaten and match Brendan Rodgers' Celtic team from 2017.

The Ibrox legend believes there's an opportunity for Rangers to be invincibles because of their incredible defensive record so far where they've conceded just five goals.

Allan McGregor ensured that stayed the same during the 1-0 win over Celtic with an incredible showing but Rangers have been defending from the front with great success this season.

And Lovenkrands reckons there's an opportunity for Rangers to keep their brilliant run going but knows it will be hard to do.

He told Sky Sports: "I won't stand here and say they can't. Of course there is an opportunity that they can do that, defintely.

"They way they are going defensively, just five goals conceded in the league, that's quite incredible. If they can keep going like that, and defending the way they are, maybe they can go and do it."

But while the former Danish star is delighted with how they've performed, he insists they must remain professional throughout the rest of the campaign.

He reckons the pressure will be ramped up as Steven Gerrard's men get closer to clinching the title.

He added: "I think they will feel more pressure coming later in the season. I've been there myself and it's tough.

"You want it so badly especially when you are coming closer to the end of the season and you are still ahead.

"You really, really want it and you think it's going to be in the bag but it's all about keeping your concentration. It's about hard work, hard work on the training ground and being prepared.

"It's about being professional about yourself and following the instructions and all these different things, but I don't need to tell the team that.

"I know they are going to be doing that and I've seen it first hand how they work when I was on the training ground. They are very professional in what they do and I can't see them letting that go."
