Peter King proposes Stefon Diggs-to-Patriots trade

It was a drama-filled week for the Vikings and Stefon Diggs last week.

The Vikings ended up fining Diggs more than $200,000, but after Sunday’s win over the Giants, the receiver said he wanted to be in Minnesota.

And then he followed that up with a wink, because of course he did.

It would be a surprise if Diggs was traded by the Vikings, but Peter King from NBC Sports had a proposal in his weekly column.

King proposed Diggs to the Patriots for second- and fourth-round picks in 2020.

The Vikings are 3-2 and with the trade deadline on Oct. 29, I doubt the Vikings would punt on their season unless they lose out, or Diggs seems exceedingly unhappy.

It would put the Vikings in a pretty tough spot as far as wide receiver depth is concerned. The only other proven receiver on the roster is Adam Thielen.

Diggs is in the first year of a five-year, $72 million contract.
