NBC Sports’ Peter King joined The Dan Patrick Show on Thursday morning for a live interview from his car, but in the middle of a discussion about the ongoing Ezekiel Elliott saga in Dallas, King was pulled over to talking on his cell phone.
Dan Patrick: “This seems like maybe the best Cowboys team we’ve seen in a while.”
Peter King: “I think it is too. Hey Dan, guess what? This is hilarious. I got stopped for talking on a cell phone because I’m talking to you. So now I have to hang up. The cop’s coming to the car. Sorry about that.”
Peter King has probably done quite a few radio interviews from his car over the course of his career, so he might want to invest in some hands-free technology! Don’t use your cell phone while driving, folks.
King called back into the show later on and confirmed he received a ticket.
“Of course I got a ticket. I mean, I said to the cop ‘I’m on with Dan Patrick.’ And he said ‘here’s your ticket.’”
