Peter Kay is back on TV tonight in Comedy Shuffle on BBC One - what you need to know

Peter Kay is returning to TV tonight for the first time in months with a brand new series of his Comedy Shuffle.

The Bolton-born comic reminded fans today that his face would be back on screens on BBC One this evening.

The funnyman is bringing back his popular Comedy Shuffle show for a fourth series.

The comedian joked today, along with a promotional poster for the show: "If you’re not going out tonight and you fancy a laugh. Why not watch this...."

The shows features clips of some of the very best of Peter Kay's TV appearances, including Geraldine McQeueen, Max and Paddy, Car Share scene and, of course, the best of Phoenix Nights.

Episodes also typically feature the comic's hilarious run-ins with famous faces, involving the likes of Sir Elton John, Michael Parkinson and even Her Majesty, the Queen.

Just last week, Mr Kay was forced to cancel his long-awaited comeback tour due to the ongoing coronavirus epidemic.

The comedian promised to reschedule the Dance for Life Tour, saying: “Stay safe and look after yourselves and the people around you.”

Now fans can get their fill while they wait for the shows to be rearranged.

The new series of Comedy Shuffle will start tonight on BBC One, at 9.30pm.
