Peter Kay confirms extra dates as Liverpool tickets sell out

Peter Kay has added a further eight dates to the AO Arena in Manchester as part of his comeback tour.

The 49-year-old comedian, from Bolton, announced last week he will be embarking on a UK-wide arena tour starting next month. It will be the first time in 12 years Peter has been on tour.

The new show was announced during an I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! ad break, with a hilarious clip of Peter carrying a roll of carpet and shouting to a man in a car. He also released a statement saying "if there's ever a time people need a laugh it's now". He added: "And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35. The same price they were on my previous tour in 2010."

Fans were quick to flood Ticketmaster's website to get their hands on a ticket to see the comedian in action, with over two million people reportedly on the site for Manchester dates alone.
