Former Liverpool FC striker Peter Crouch has revealed that he used his own " video assistant referee " at his son's birthday party.
Abbey Clancy and Peter celebrated their son Johnny's second birthday earlier this week, participating in a number of traditional party games.
This included pass the parcel and musical bumps.
But to avoid any cheating or parcel passing scandals, Abbey and Peter used VAR to clear up any issues.
Speaking on That Peter Crouch Podcast, he said: "Well this week it was my little son's birthday party. We did a bit of pass the parcel.
Chris Stark asked: "You know that tricky point where the kid has the parcel, they've already won one of them, then the parcel goes to the next one and then another kid has their hand on it - do you go to VAR?"
Peter said: "That's a difficult one, I can't believe you said that because we did actually go to VAR at a couple of points.
"Do you know what it was on? It was on the musical bumps, so you know when you have to get your bum on the floor, a lot of people were going low dance, so their bums were closer to the floor.
"But Abbey's brother filmed the whole process and we reverted it back to slow-mo and VAR'd it and I have to say it cleaned a lot of problems up.
"What we did was revert to the screen so everyone could see it. "
He continued: "I think people should bring it in for games like that as well because it clears it up for the kid, because you can say as well that parcel was passed.
"We've proved that it can be done."
