Peter Crouch left wife Abbey locked out for 90 minutes while playing Call of Duty

Football sharp-shooter Peter Crouch ended up in his wife’s sights after leaving her locked out while he played Call of Duty.

The ex-England ace was in Abbey Clancy’s bad books after he left her waiting outside for 90 minutes while he gunned down bad guys in the computer game.

Crouchy, 40, said his 35-year-old model missus was “not happy”.

“I was at home and Ab was ringing the bell as she didn’t have her keys,” he recalled.

“I had a pair of headphones on. I was in a blacked-out game room and had no idea she was ringing the bell.”

The 6ft 7in former Spurs, Liverpool and Stoke striker revealed the mishap on his podcast.

He also reckons there should be a CoD dad mode as he often struggles with the controls.

He joked: “Trying to get your gun out for ages, and then you do that thing when you zoom in for no reason and then throw a grenade for no reason.”

Fellow footballers who love CoD include West Ham’s Jesse Lingard, 28, Man United’s Marcus Rashford, 23, and Paul Pogba, 28, and Borussia Dortmund ace Jadon Sancho, 21.

Peter and Abbey, who wed in 2011 and have four kids, are said to be in talks to front their own TV series.

Abbey launched her career on Britain’s Next Top Model in 2006 and returned to host it in 2015.

She also won 2013’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Pundit Peter has also fronted the Saturday night game show, Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer.
