Former Tottenham striker Peter Crouch believes Manchester City are the only club where Harry Kane will be able to fulfil his ambitions.
Kane, 27, is reportedly keen to leave Spurs this summer if the club misses out on Champions League qualification.
The Englishman is one of the best strikers in Europe and has scored 217 goals for his boyhood club, but his trophy cabinet remains empty as he enters the prime years of his career.
Manchester United are believed to be monitoring Kane as they search for a new No.9, while cross-town rivals City have also been touted as a potential destination for the Three Lions skipper.
Crouch claims such a transfer is unlikely to materialise due to the huge fee involved, but he insists City have the edge over United in the race for Kane.
He told the Daily Mail : "If he [Kane] really wants to go, it won't happen unless there is an astronomical fee involved - and that puts a cap on those who could afford him.

"I also feel the circle of potential destinations will be further limited by his ambition to break Alan Shearer's Premier League scoring record.
" Tottenham won't do business with Chelsea, I doubt he'd get the trophies he wants at Manchester United, so that leaves only one domestic option: Manchester City."
Kane is joint-eighth in the all-time Premier League scoring charts with 162 goals, 98 adrift of record-scorer Shearer on 260.
While he may want to stay in the English top-flight in a bid to break the record, Spurs will not consider selling him to a domestic rival.
And Crouch warned the likes of United and City that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy "won't bend" on this stance.
The 40-year-old added: "He [Levy] doesn't deal in sentiment and it won't matter what Harry has done these last seven years."
