Peter Bosz reveals his Rangers Europa League blast landed him in hot water with angry Bundesliga bosses

Sheepish Bayer Leverkusen boss Peter Bosz revealed he was rapped by Bundesliga bosses for his impassioned rant ahead of their Europa League duel with Rangers.

The Germans eased to a 3-1 first leg win at Ibrox in the Last 16 first leg, which looks certain to be the last game played in Scotland for months.

Dutchman Bosz launched an attack on any decisions to play matches in empty stadiums - Leverkusen were due to play closed door matches against Werder Bremen and Rangers this week.

But he's revealed the German League wrote to him threatening him with punishment if he continued his Europa League tirade.

He said: "They immediately sent me an angry letter.

"They basically asked me to keep my mouth shut. But this coach won't do that.

"I got asked a question about it in Glasgow and I gave an honest answer.

"There were ghost games everywhere. I watched Juventus v Inter Milan on TV which was played behind closed doors.

"It was like I was watching an Italian fourth division amateur game."

And he's revealed that star man and captain Kai Havertz, who netted the opening goal at Ibrox, will leave the club this summer, with the bidding war opening at £100 million.

He said: "We can't hold him this summer. He's a child prodigy who has been with us from the age of eight. He's intelligent and such a brilliant kid to work for.

"He will certainly cost more than £100 million."
