Peter Andre's wife Emily struggling to sleep as she battles coronavirus on frontline

Peter Andre's wife Emily admitted she is struggling to sleep because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The 30-year-old NHS doctor, who has been working in hospital against the virus, revealed her anxieties because of the uncertainty surrounding Covid-19.

"My sleep has been terrible, but I've been doing mindfulness exercises on my phone and that's really great," she recently told OK! magazine.

"There is a certain degree of anxiety at times because it's such an unknown situation.

"But the whole country is really behind the NHS, so we're feeling a lot of love and support."

Emily has been married to the Mysterious Girl singer, 47, for five years.

The same year that the couple wed, Emily qualified to be a doctor.

The loved-up couple live together with their children Amelia, six, Theodore, three, and have also had Peter's older children Princess, 12, and Junior, 14, join them during the lockdown.

In her latest column for OK!, Emily admitted that alongside sleepless nights she hasn't been wearing her NHS badge outside of work.

The mum-of-two explained she was worried because people had reportedly been stealing NHS badges in attempt to get benefits.

"I haven't been wearing my NHS badge when I've been shopping because I read that some people were getting them stolen," she wrote.

"I was also saddened to read about some NHS workers receiving abuse, which is terrible.

"I'm sure those people would change their tune if they were admitted to hospital and needed treatment!"

Peter and Emily have been taking extra precautions and trying to self-distance at home because of her work.

Peter also recently branded his doting wife a 'hero' as he remained at home and looked after his four kids.
