Emily Andre admits to downsizing kids' Christmas presents this year as she unveils plans

Emily Andre has admitted she doesn't buy 'too many' presents for her kids Millie and Theo at Christmas.

The wife of Peter Andre, who is also stepmum to his kids Junior and Princess, said her daughter, seven, and son, four, are still very excited about the festive season.

Writing in her column for OK! magazine she said: "I did a little Christmas shopping and I don’t tend to buy a lot of things for my kids anyway, but I still have to go a little.

"They love their stockings the most, it’s their favourite part of the day. We are all really excited about Christmas.

"I love this time of year. We put the elves on the shelves with the kids-and the elves arrived last week, which Millie and Theo are very excited about."

Emily said that the family have two Christmas trees and that things were starting to "feel like a festival".

However she also confessed she wasn't quite sure where to get started with all the festive preparations, admitting she 'didn't go outside the house'.

The doctor, 32, married Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre in 2015.

Peter also has two children from his marriage to ex-wife Katie Price - 16-year-old Junior and 14-year-old Princess.

Emily, who is bringing out a book called Growing Up For Girls in January, previously explained that she doesn't let her children sleep in her bed as parents 'need their own space'.

Her admission came after I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Frankie Bridge confessed the whole family sleep in the same bed every night.

Emily told OK!: "We’ve let the kids stay in our room as a special treat before, which they loved, but I didn’t get much sleep as Theo kept kicking me in the ribs!

"I don’t get that much time to myself so I think it’s important to have that separation and time just for me."

Emily and Peter have ruled out having another child, although Pete joked he was "never too busy to try".

They undoubtedly enjoy their family time together, but Peter once said that it is sometimes 'impossible' for the couple to take a break.

The Aussie once admitted that he feels "guilty" if they are away from their kids, which means that date nights are are few and far between.

Speaking to hosts Zoe Hardman and Georgia Dayton on Made by Mammas: The Podcast he said: "We went away for her birthday for a night and, literally, we felt guilty. I’m not kidding!”
