Peter Andre's wife Emily MacDonagh proud of way kids have dealt with difficult year

Peter Andre's wife, Emily MacDonagh, has expressed her joy and pride at the way their four children have coped with the past year as she looked back over the last 12 months.

The 32-year-old doctor has been married to 48-year-old entertainer Peter since 2015 and together they share a seven-year-old daughter Amelia and five-year-old son Theo.

Emily has also taken Peter's other two children, 16-year-old son Junior and 14-year-old daughter Princess – who he shares with 43-year-old ex-wife Katie Price – under her wings.

Emily says he is proud of the way her brood of children have dealt with the past year which has been disrupted by Covid restrictions – while Junior and Princess have endured the extra stress of seeing their mother narrowly avoiding jail for drink-driving while banned and without insurance.

Taking to her column in OK! magazine for an end of year address, proud mum Emily happily discussed the achievements of the four children.

Emily wrote: “Theo starting school was another big thing for me.

“All the kids went through some form of transition in September, so there was a lot of change to deal with.

“Junior started college, while Millie moved up to juniors and Princess started her GCSEs.”

Admitting that it has been another ‘weird’ year thanks to the ongoing Covid pandemic, Emily explained that she was especially proud of the children for coping so well during a year that featured disruptions and lockdowns.

She gushed: “It’s been really nice seeing the kids flourishing and growing up, and I’m really proud of them all for how they’ve dealt with everything.”

Emily's husband, Peter, has watched his flock grow up over the past 12 months – and not least eldest daughter Princess with whom he had a blunt conversation when she declared she wanted to be on Love Island.

The concerned dad previously explained: "Princess has said she wants to do it but I still haven't changed my mind about that.

"Presenting it? Yes. A contestant? Not so sure!

"She said to me, 'Would you ever let me go on Love Island?'

“I said to her, 'When they start doing Love Island based on priests and nuns and they're having their sermons on Sundays you can go on Love Island but until then no chance'."

While the proud dad has also vowed to help his eldest son, Junior, crack into the music business.

The Mysterious Girl singer said previously: “I’m going to oversee it. I’ll be standing next to him the whole time and be his point of call!”

He insisted: “[Junior’s] very secretive about his music, but it is unbelievable. I’m sure you’ll all hear it soon.”

Peter went on: “Our styles are completely different.

“He’ll appeal to a whole new generation and I’m more appealing to the older generation. We’ll do some stuff together too, but that’s for later rather than now.

“I just want to focus on him, get him off the ground and doing his thing. I’m so proud of him.”
