Peter Andre 's wife Emily has revealed she was proud as punch when son Theo swam without armbands for the first time.
The doctor was on holiday with her pop star husband when their four-year-old son finally braved the water without his supports.
“Theo hit a milestone during our holiday in Portugal and swam without armbands for the first time,” revealed Emily. “It was a very proud mum moment for me!
In an interview with OK! magazine the 32-year-old added: “When we went on holiday in May he didn’t even want to put his head under the water.
"And this time he said, 'I don’t need my armbands, mum!' and just started swimming by himself out of nowhere. He was so excited and very pleased with himself.”
Emily and Peter share to two children together, Theo and daughter Amelia, seven.
The mum-of-two admitted she felt “bad” because Amelia started swimming a lot younger than her brother.
“With Theo I felt really bad because Millie was swimming by the time she was three, but because of the pandemic he missed out on swimming lessons and us being able to teach him as much on holidays,” reflected Emily.
Speaking in her latest column in the magazine, Emily also revealed Theo is “in denial” about starting school after the summer holidays.
Her son is due to start school in September along many other kids across the country, but Emily believes the coronavirus pandemic has put doubts in her youngster’s mind about what that actually means.
She stressed that although things are “getting back to normal now” she remains worried that Theo hasn’t “got his head around it yet”.
Emily is also step-mum to Peter’s two kids from his previous marriage with Katie Price.
It’s no secret former I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! star Peter shares an unbreakable bond with his kids, but fans recently paid tribute to Emily for being a top step-mum as well at such a young age.
Mysterious Girl hitmaker Peter was recently asked by a fan if he and Emily are planning on having another baby.
And he admitted: “That's a very good question. Physically I can't, my wife on the other hand…”
"I don't know. We say things like, 'Oh wouldn't it be great to have another Theo', because Theo's like four years old and he's running around and he's brilliant and it's a beautiful age.
“But then when we meet up with people who have got a couple of kids and they hand us over the kids and they're screaming, I'm like, 'Hell no!' we actually look at each other and we're like, 'Hell no.'"
