Peter Andre's wife Emily Andre, 32, reveals she gets Botox for medical reason

Emily Andre has revealed that she uses Botox for a medical reason, referring to procedure as a "game changer" for her.

The NHS doctor, 32, has a history of suffering with migraines and recently said that they used to have an "awful" impact on her, including causing a loss of vision in one eye.

She's said to have tried "all sorts of treatments" in the past but it's having Botox across her forehead that has "made such a difference" to the health issue.

The mum-of-two had the first migraine she's "had in ages" after returning from Dubai earlier this month - having visited with husband Peter Andre, 48, and their family.

Emily opened up about her experience with migraines, and using Botox, in her latest column for OK! magazine.

The topic is on her mind having suffered a migraine a few days after getting back from her recent family trip, with her having "almost forgotten how horrible" having one could be.

She commented in the recent column: "They used to make me vomit and lose my vision in one eye, which was awful.

"I've tried all sorts of treatments in the past from my GP, but the thing I've found which has made such a difference for me, is having Botox across the top of my forehead."

The columnist however said "it's not quite clear" how such a procedure helps with migraines, but noted that it can be done in the forehead, above the ears or even in the neck.

She said that whilst most people probably consider it to be a cosmetic procedure, it has "all sorts of other uses" that can be beneficial - such as treating bladder problems.

Emily said that she visits her brother Tom's aesthetics clinic "when [she] can to get it done" - stating that it was first mentioned to her by him.

She however added: "The only downside is you have to have it every 12 weeks or so, and I never seem to get time!"

The doctor said in the column that the procedure can be done on the NHS but only "if you meet certain criteria."
