Peter Andre has responded to the grovelling public apology issued by his ex-wife Katie Price .
The Mysterious Girl singer is usually a very private person and normally refuses to speak about Katie, who he was married to from 2005 to 2009.
Just recently, the star was taken aback when he was asked by Piers Morgan to comment on something Katie had said live on Good Morning Britain.
After she'd said he wouldn't allow her to film with their children Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, meaning they couldn't appear on her reality show, Peter was given the right to reply.
But he firmly told the host that he shouldn't be asking him about something so personal.

Tonight, in a rare event, Peter responded to Katie publicly on Twitter .
It came after she posted a grovelling apology, and insisted that they still love each other.
The former glamour model, 40, insisted that she didn't mean to cause harm with all the things she's said about him and told him she's sorry if she hurt him.
Katie, who is also mum to Harvey, Jett and Bunny, said: "I had a tough year last year! A person stirred trouble with me and Pete which he reacted to protect our children!
"Yes I said things but I was upset and didn’t mean harm! Me and Pete love each other really lol !I’m sorry @MrPeterAndre if I hurt you!"
Peter then retweeted her post hours later, adding: "Do you know what, I really appreciate you saying that. Thank you"
His fans were glad to see the pair acting so maturely towards one another.
One said: "the kids are clearly loved by both of you very much"
Another told the singer: "Pete what a gent you are!"
However, others felt it should have been a private conversation between the exes.

Another posted: "Surely this exchange should have been private? Maybe text each other next time"
While one said: "We would appreciate that being said in private !! For the sake of your children some things are meant to be kept private !"
