Peter Andre proudly films nervous-looking son Junior getting HPV vaccine

Peter Andre has filmed his son Junior looking very nervous as he took him to get his HPV vaccine.

The 15-year-old headed to get his jab this week and dad Peter took the opportunity to film the occasion for the family YouTube channel.

The father-son-duo turned the camera on themselves to take fans along for the experience.

In the car on the way to the surgery, Junior told viewers of Peter’s channel ‘The Andres’ he wanted his step-mum Emily to come with him as she’s a doctor and he was nervous for how he would react, but dad Peter was stepping in to take him instead.

Young teens are offered the human papillomavirus vaccine which helps protect against cervical, mouth and throat, and anal and genital area cancers.

It also helps protect against genital warts.

“I hate injections, I hate needles,” the teen explained, adding that they make go pale and dizzy.

Peter teased a clip of the full YouTube video on his Instagram, writing: “In our latest video watch Junior brave the ever so important HPV vaccine... well done son."

Junior was having his second of three vaccinations.

The final one he’ll be having in two months, which Peter was relieved to know his son as he would have received the whole vaccine before he turns 16.

Once inside the surgery, Peter introduced the nurse who was preparing to inject Junior.

He said: “I’m here with the lovely Julie who’s going to administer the injection to Junior for the HPV virus which of course is really important for teenagers - that’s why we want to show it.

“It’s not always fun to get the injection but Julie’s a master so well be fine.”

The heavily-gowned nurse told Junior to think of a chocolate bar as she rolled up a very nervous-looking Junior’s sleeve and gave him the jab.

The teen winced under his mask as the needle went in, forcing his dad to ask if he was ok, to which Junior firmly responded: “Yes.”

The nurse put a multicoloured plaster on Junior’s arm before giving him after-care instructions.

She then explained that she had been administering the jab more frequently recently after it was introduced to boys on the NHS.

Back in the car, Junior reassured viewers that he felt fine - albeit with a dead arm - before encouraging others to follow suit and have the vaccine if they can.

Pete shares Junior and sister Princess, 13, with ex-wife Katie Price, and he has Amelia, six and Theo, three, with wife Emily.
