Peter Andre prays for Sarah Harding and praises her bravery amid cancer battle

Peter Andre and his family are praying for Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding after she revealed that she was battling advanced breast cancer.

The 47-year-old dad of four shared a touching message as he praised the musician for her bravery in the face of her health battle.

Writing for his column in new! magazine, Pete spoke of his admiration for the Love Machine singer as he believed that speaking out will raise awareness for the disease.

His message comes less than a week after the singing sensation penned a moving social media post where she revealed her diagnosis.

"I was so sad to hear that Sarah Harding has been diagnosed with breast cancer," Peter wrote after learning of the sad news.

"I want to praise her for speaking out about her illness and I really admire her for being so open and brave.

"I really think it will raise awareness for others who are going through something similar.

Pete added: "I just want to say that my whole family is thinking about her and we're praying she'll be OK and that she stays strong."

Sarah has been inundated with messages after bravely opening up about the cancer she had secretly been battling for months.

Among the stars to show their support for Sarah were all of her former Girls Aloud bandmates, Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh.

The pop star was diagnosed with breast cancer, which has spread to other parts of her body.

She has been undergoing weekly chemotherapy sessions and is being supported by her family and friends.

In last week's post, Sarah also revealed that she was trying to stay positive and promised to keep followers updated about her health battle.

She wrote: "I am doing my very best to keep positive and will keep you updated here with how I’m getting on.

"In the meantime I hope you’ll all understand and respect my request for privacy during this difficult time."
