Peter Andre mocked on BBC Breakfast by Naga Munchetty as nobody laughs at his pun

BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty showed off her comedy chops as she ridiculed Peter Andre over a joke that fell completely flat.

Naga and Charlie Stayt were joined on a video call by Peter to discuss the upcoming musical stage production of Grease, which sees him star as both Teen Angel and Vinco Fontaine.

And just moments into the interview, dad-of-four Pete decided to crack a pun referencing Greece's current travel ban.

"The funny thing is we're talking about Grease and we can't even fly there, which is interesting, so what an interesting time," he said.

When his joke was met with stony silence, he remarked: "I thought that was a bit of a Greek joke but no one actually laughed..."

"Sorry, we're just clearing away the tumbleweeds for you," Naga joked before she and Charlie cracked up.

Moving the conversation along, Pete told that he's excited to get back out there after so long being unable to perform in front of a crowd.

"No, it's going to be fantastic bringing that back to the stage and I think people want to get out to the theatre," he continued.

"The theatres have taken a massive hit as you can imagine, including all the people who work on lights, the sound, production, crew. There are so many people that are aching to get back on stage."

It's hoped that Greece, Spain and Portugal - some of Brit holidaymakers favourite sunny climes - will soon welcome back UK travellers.

Reports have emerged that the countries are pushing to lift EU rules banning entry for countries that have vaccinated large parts of their populations.

Meanwhile, ministers in the UK are considering a Covid vaccine passport scheme to kickstart foreign travel again in time for the summer.

Pete's wife Emily , an NHS doctor, has been on the front line during the pandemic.

Meanwhile ex-wife Katie Price recently announced she's engaged to Carl Woods after he got down on one knee.
