Peter Andre marriage 'in trouble' as he's risks missing anniversary for England game

Peter Andre has told fans his marriage is 'in trouble' as he needs to choose between watching England and celebrating his wedding anniversary.

The Australian singer shared a series of sweet tributes to his wife Emily MacDonagh to commemorate the couple's six years of marriage.

Compiling a photo montage alongside Stevie Wonder's Overjoyed Pete, 48, posted: "Just like that, we’ve been married for 6 years. You're not only the most amazing wife, you are an incredible mother to our children."

"You also are the kindest person I know. Happy Anniversary Emily," he said alongside super cute snaps of the couple vacationing around the world.

However the father-of-four then quipped that he needed to decide whether to spend time with the NHS doctor 31, and watching the Euro 2020 final.

"Oh and FOOTBALLS COMING HOME," he added enthusiastically, before asking fans how he could appease Emily who "doesn't watch football".

"On that note, please help everyone, it's my wedding anniversary and Emily doesn't watch football. What do I do?" the fan favourite teased excitedly.

Pete's army of fans were quick to congratulate the couple as well as telling the critically acclaimed actor that he should definitely watch England in what is the biggest football tournament for more than 50 years.

"It has been 55 years since England was in a final I’m sure Emily’s secretly wanting to watch it!" one woman posted tactically.

"A candle lit bath would go down a storm, and it'll cover you to watch the football," a second advised.

While a third quipped: "Could be worse, imagine trying to have your wedding reception this evening?"

Pete and Emily have had a fairytale romance and share two beautiful children together, however the couple would never have met if it hadn't been for a health crisis.

It was back in 2010 that Pete found himself undergoing emergency surgery in Cornwall to treat agonising kidney stones.

And it was through his urologist consultant, Dr Ruaraidh MacDonagh, that the then 36-year-old met and fell in love with his medical student daughter Emily, then 20.

Dishing on the unusual circumstances that brought them together, he previously told Cornwall Live : “It’s the most bizarre thing. I had to have an emergency operation on a kidney in Taunton. I wasn’t even in the area but I was transferred there and the on-call consultant was Emily’s dad.

"I was so grateful that I said, ‘if there’s anything I can ever do…’. I later got him a couple of tickets for the Plymouth show, but he couldn’t make it so his wife Rebecca came along with their daughter, Emily.

“We had a bit of a laugh and I thought, ‘oh they’re really nice people'. As time went on, Emily and I realised we had feelings for each other and two years after meeting at Plymouth Pavilions we were married.”

Ever the gentleman, Pete first got Dr MacDonagh's permission to date his daughter, but he almost blew his attempts to woo her with a smooth move that went very wrong.

The Mysterious Girl singer - who was previously married to Katie Price - thought it would be a good idea to turn up to her halls of residence at Bristol University in a flashy Lamborghini - but it wasn't well received.

Last year Emily, 31, told ITV's Loose Women: "That doesn't really float my boat, so I think he misjudged it slightly. Because I couldn't care less about cars or anything. But he didn't do it again, that's for sure!"
