Peter Andre: Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard needs to STOP talking!

Peter Andre has some sound advice for Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard.

Speaking to the Standard’s Off The Island series, the singer and TV personality revealed that while he “loves” the ballroom dancer, he thinks he needs to “stop talking” to avoid unintentionally creating drama in the villa.

“Love Island was never meant to be this addictive, unfortunately it is,” the former I’m A Celebrity star told the Standard.

“The thing is for me, there’s so many nice people in there but there’s so many confused people.

Confused: Peter Andre suggested that Curtis should embrace the power of silence (ITV)

“For example, Curtis. I love Curtis, I love him. He’s honest, he’s polite, he’s a gentleman, but he needs to stop talking. Just stop, it’s all you’ve got to do.”

Alluding to the moment when Curtis was brutally honest about his attempts to crack on with Jourdan Raine while coupled up with Amy Hart, Andre said: “That bit there where you said ‘I liked her and she said no?’ At that point stop. Don’t go, ‘So I kept pursuing her!’

“That bit killed me.”

Andre added that the islanders who might appear “not so nice” could see a shift in popularity.

“Michael [Griffiths] is getting a bit of flack but in a couple of days he might be wonderful again,” he predicted. “You just don’t know.”

Dumped: Callum left the villa in week one (ITV)

The Standard also spoke to dumped islander Callum Macleod, who claimed that Curtis is not “suited” to Maura Higgins - despite the pair doing their best to crack on following Amy’s departure from the villa.

“I never met her. But I just don’t think they’re suited in that respect,” he admitted.

“When you’re in there, you’re in there for the reason to meet someone. And Maura’s thinking, ‘Who else am I going to go for, who am I going to meet now?’

“And she may find them attractive and it’s such an intense environment and people do grow on each other so you don’t know until you’re in there that she might be really attracted to him.”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2. Off The Island is released on Fridays.
