Peter Andre leaves GB News viewers confused as he presents show for first time

Peter Andre left GB News viewers divided as he presented a breakfast show on the channel for the first time ever. The singer and I'm A Celeb star, 50, announced he would be presenting the show on Twitter on Tuesday May 30, sharing a video of himself announcing the role, OK reports.

He wrote to his fans: "I will be hosting the GB news Breakfast show tomorrow morning with @elliecostelloTV for my first ever time. Join us bright and early. 6-9:30 am @GBNEWS."

However, the show's regular viewers were left split on the star presenting, with one fan tweeting: "I was expecting this to be car crash tv. But @MrPeterAndre is actually doing a really good job on @GBNEWS #GBNews #PeterAndre."

Who should replace Phillip Schofield on This Morning? Let us know.

Another added: "@MrPeterAndre @GBNEWS @elliecostelloTV Great to wake up to Peter Andre this morning. Such a lovely surprise. Good luck and have fun."

A third penned: "Oooh nice surprise #Peterandre on @GBNEWS with @elliecostelloTV this morning x"

Although most people were a fan, one critic quipped: "Fell asleep on the sofa, woke up to find Peter Andre reading the news thought I was still dreaming - as Bill Hicks said 'it’s just a ride' a very surreal one - let’s hope it’s over soon I want to get off."

"Peter Andre presenting on @GBNews this morning. Yes or No? Didn't quite hit the mark for me," wrote another.

And a third complained: "New lows for gb news. What the hell is Peter Andre doing on a gb news team. That's the end of that..... switched off...."

It comes after Peter opened up about how he's "stressing like you wouldn't believe" over 15 year old daughter Princess having her first boyfriend.

This week, pictures emerged of Princess with a mystery man who appears to be her boyfriend, which Peter discussed during an appearance at the launch Jorja Emerson Centre, a state-of-the-art health clinic providing groundbreaking services and treatments for conditions such as addiction and autism.

The centre is named after seven year old Jorja and her dad Robin Emerson spoke with Peter at the launch and talked about worrying he would never see his daughter grow up and meet her first boyfriend.

Peter chimed in: "The first boyfriend thing, you're not missing out on anything. My daughter's going through that, I'm stressing like you would not believe.

"So that side of it, it's just not fun."
