Peter Andre is 'livid' he got dragged into Wagatha trial after 'chipolata' comments

Peter Andre is reportedly 'livid' that he got dragged into the trial between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy.

The Mysterious Girl hit headlines after his name - along with the size of his manhood - was brought up at the Wagatha Christie trial.

In the proceedings at London’s High Court last week, Rebekah took to the stand to admit she regretted describing his pecker as a “miniature chipolata” in a 2004 kiss-and-tell newspaper interview with the News of the World.

And now, according to an insider, Peter has been struggling with the resurfaced story after 15 years of the news circulating.

"Peter is livid. This whole thing has been really hard on him and the family, but it's made him think about the wider story - and that is that other people shouldn't be allowed to talk about others in this way," the source told new! magazine.

"It's so discriminating to say this about a man - this kind of thing would not be said about a woman.

"His children have been asking what the story is about, which is really difficult."

Mirror have contacted his representatives for comment.

Peter previously opened up about the comments made in court and even apologised to his wife and children.

In a video shared recently, he explained how he wanted to put his thoughts 'out there' and went on to say how he stayed quiet about the article for 15 years.

"It's been brought up in High Court and the lawyer is bringing it up and having a go at her for something that went on News of the World that went to 4 million people and that's brought up in court," he said.

"It goes to a lot more than 4 million people. And it's brought up again and the only one who sits there and takes hit after hit about it is me.

"I've been laughing about it for a while but think about how it would feel if it was the other way round."

He explained that although we now all know it was a made-up story, it's 'not fair' that it keeps happening without any changes being made.

When Coleen's lawyer asked Rebekah whether it had been "respectful" of Peter's "right not to share this information", she said she regretted it.

"I was forced into a situation by my ex-husband to do this and it is something that I deeply regret," she said.

"It is not nice to read and I understand why this is being used – to me, this is mudslinging, and I was also threatened with mudslinging by Mrs Rooney's team."
