Peter Andre hangs out with Michael Jackson's family after Leaving Neverland cameo

Peter Andre spent time with Michael Jackson's extended family just days after supporting the King of Pop amid a host of shocking new sexual abuse allegations.

Pete, who is currently in the States for work, spent the evening with Michael's nephews Taj and TJ Jackson - the sons of Tito Jackson - and thanked them for their Los Angeles hospitality with an Instagram post.

"Thank you @tajjackson for having us in your home last night and dinner. You and your wife and brother @tjjackson9 made me and @mrmichaelandre1 feel so welcome. Brothers for life," he wrote.

It comes after Pete stood up for his 'friend' following the jaw-dropping allegations made by James Safechuck and Wade Robson in the Leaving Neverland documentary.

Pete - who actually makes a cameo in the two-parter - decided not to watch it because he still hopes Jackson is innocent.

He wrote in his new! magazine column: "I chose not to watch the film. I will eventually, but it's going to be very uncomfortable and the thought of any of it being true is going to break my heart."

He added: "We cannot and must not ignore the voices of any victims, but what if he didn't do it?

"For me, this is where the problem lies. Shouldn't we wait for some sort of evidence?"

However, in his previous column for the magazine, Peter reminded readers that Michael was acquitted of any wrongdoing when faced with sex abuse claims in 2005.

"First and foremost what I will say is we have to rely on the justice system and we mustn't forget that he was acquitted of not just one, but all child molestation charges during his trial in 2005," he wrote.

The singer went on to claim that if Jackson is ever proven to be guilty then "it's absolutely terrible".

And, in a live interview on Good Morning Britain on March 12, Pete said the allegations against Jackson were damaging for his family.

"I was there that day when Wade won [the dance contest]," he confirmed. "I didn't realise until years later that Wade was the kid that had won that.

"The way that I stand on it is that if it's true, if it's proven true, then it's the worst thing that could ever possibly happen and victims should definitely have a voice, there's no doubt about that.

"The problem is if you look at the flipside and say it isn't true, it is damaging his family, his brothers, his mother, his kids, his legacy."

Peter said that Jackson's legacy is "tarnished" now whether the allegations against him are proven or not.

"The problem is that we don't know 100% what happened and there is some sort of trust you have to have in the justice system and that's my opinion.

"If it's true I'll be absolutely devastated."
