Peter Andre has defended James ‘Arg’ Argent, 34, after it has emerged the TOWIE star is dating a woman who is 16 years his junior.
The Mysterious Girl singer, 49, commented after photos circulated showing Arg on holiday in Marbella with his 18-year-old girlfriend, Stella Turian. Reflecting on the 16-year age gap between himself and his wife of seven years, Emily MacDonagh, Peter wrote in his New! Magazine column: “Age is a different thing to different people.
“On paper things can look a certain way but I think it depends how you are with the person. I don't think I've ever felt an age gap between us and when you see us together you wouldn't feel there is."

Noting that he is fast approaching 50, Peter added: “I have a lot of time for Arg and I was happy for him when I saw that he has a new girlfriend. There has been a lot of talk about the fact there is a 16-year age gap between them as Arg is 34 and Stella is 18, this is actually the same gap as me and Emily.
“I can't comment on anyone else's age differences, but I know at the start of our relationship a lot was said, but now I'm in my 40s and Emily is in her 30s no one ever says anything.”
Peter and Emily started dating in 2012, after her father performed an operation on him to remove kidney stones. They married three years later and now share two children, Amelia, 8, and Theo, 5.
His comments came after it was revealed it was “love at first sight” for Arg and his Italian actress girlfriend, according to MailOnline. They first met three months ago in Mykonos, with sources close to the couple saying Arg is “determined” to make this the best relationship of his life.
He is said to be “smitten” with Stella, who is his first love since his tumultuous on-off relationship with fellow TOWIE alumni Gemma Collins.
