Peter Andre cherishing every moment with mum as 'cruel' condition takes over

Peter Andre said he's cherishing every moment with his mum as she battles Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.

The singer jetted off to Australia for a family visit with his two children, Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, tagging along for the journey. Being reunited with his parents "meant the world" to him but it was only a slight distraction from the "cruel" reality his mother, Thea, 87, is facing.

Sharing a sweet snap of himself next to his mother, Peter's Instagram caption said: "These last two weeks have meant the world to us.

"Mum, you have no idea how much we love you and Dad. Debs, Savs and Joe thanks for everything." The post ushered in a wave of questions and touching responses from fans sharing their own personal experiences which Peter was happy to interact with.

In response, he said: "We worry every single day as it takes hold. I will cherish every moment I have." To another, he added: "It’s so cruel seeing it take hold."

Thea recently celebrated her 87th birthday with Peter telling OK! it was great to be physically close to her for it. He said: "It’s never easy to see people declining when they get older, especially when it’s your own mum.

"It’s tough and very emotional. Although it was difficult to leave them at the end of our trip, seeing Mum smile and happy was the best – that’s what it’s all about."
