Peter Andre and Katie Price's son Junior signs mega-bucks deal with Harry Styles' label

Peter Andre and Katie Price 's 16-year-old son Junior has signed a lucrative deal to join the same record label as Calvin Harris and Harry Styles.

Junior Andre has announced he's been signed up to release music with Columbia Records UK following in the footsteps of his pop star dad.

Junior explained he'd been spent weeks on the hush-hush sessions, recording new tracks with two other up and coming artists, at an independent studio called Rebel Records in London.

He posted a picture of himself with his proud dad Pete standing alongside several members of the Rebel team and shared the big news with his 485,000 followers.

The teenager wrote: "Wow. Where do I start? These past six months have been hectic. But I’ve loved every single second of it. My dad took me to the studio six months ago and got me in the booth at @rebelrecs.

"Since then I have secretly been working on a MASSIVE project, and not long ago got a call saying @columbiauk want to sign me!

"I would just like to say thank you to the team @rebelrecs alongside my dad who have helped develop me into an artist.

"Of course a big shoutout to @sktartist and @marcellonoego who are very talented and have been working with me on this project since the start."

The well-mannered young man remembered to thank his mum Katie, adding: "Not forgetting my mum who is always supportive of me.

"And of course my family and friends. I love everyone who supports me and I am very excited to go on this journey with you all." He concluded his statement with the teasing comment, "NEW MUSIC COMING SOON!!"

His proud younger sister Princess, 14, was one of the first to wish him success on his amazing news, writing "Congratulations, Junior, love you" accompanied by a heart emoji.

Their dad Pete wrote: "Beyond proud. Wait until you see the pic I post later" with a laughing emoji.

Pete has a reputation for playing tricks on his elder children including sharing embarrassing snaps of them from their childhood.

Junior will do well if he copies his famous dad's pop career.

Pete released 11 studio albums and 28 singles. He reached the Top Three six times, with Mysterious Girl, Flava, I Feel You, All About Us with Montell Jordan and Lil Bo Peep during the 1990s.

Then he unleashed Mysterious Girl again, followed by Insania and Behind Closed Doors in the 2000s.

It's been an eventful year for the lad, who turned 16 in June. He caught coronavirus in the Spring, suffering badly with sore throat and headaches. Junior revealed that he was scared that he was going to die, but eventually made a full recovery and returned to social media to reassure his worried followers.

Junior has signed to Columbia UK, the British arm of the giant American music-making company who've produced rock and pop legends like Bob Dylan, Patti Smith and Bruce Springsteen.

Our home-grown talent at Columbia includes Calvin Harris, The Script, Kasabian and former One Direction heart-throb Harry Styles.

Perhaps Junior might end up being followed by as many hordes of screaming girls as Harry?
