Peter Andre admits he's a 'cringe' dad as he shares clips of Junior going to prom

Peter Andre was bursting with pride on Thursday evening.

The former hitmaker, 48, took to his Instagram page to admit that he's a 'cringe' dad as he captured several clips of his eldest son Junior heading off to enjoy his prom after finishing secondary school.

Mysterious girl singer Peter gushed over his 15-year-old son - who he shares with ex-wife Katie Price - as he got suited and booted and jumped in a limousine in order to party the night away with his school pals.

Alongside a post shared to his grid, doting dad Peter wrote: "My boy all grown up and going to Prom. I'm so gonna be a cringe parent. So proud @officialjunior_andre."

The clips showed aspiring actor Junior posing with one of his mates before another video showed them get inside the large luxury vehicle driven by a chauffeur that had been hired for the event.

Peter also shared more footage on his Instagram Stories.

After the big night out, Junior took to his own Instagram page to mark the occasion.

He uploaded a clip of himself posing in front of the camera and wrote: "PROM DAYYYY."

Below the offering, his Page 3 icon mum wrote: " Love you junior and good luck."

Last month, Junior tested positive for Coronavirus.

In recent weeks, Junior's concerned father Peter opened up about his son's battle with the virus.

He revealed Junior had been spending most of his days in bed and that he "wasn't eating" after losing his appetite.

The doting dad also shared that the timing of Junior catching Covid was particularly bad as he has his alternative GCSE exams coming up.

"Although many people have had it a lot worse, he ended up spending four days in bed with a lot of body aches, a sore throat, and a bad headache," he wrote in his New magazine column.

"Thankfully he is starting to feel better now. He and Princess have been doing two lateral flow tests a week for school, so Junior testing positive meant a lot of kids from his school also had to self-isolate.

"Junior also has his alternative GCSE exams this week, so it hasn't been the best timing, but he started revising again as soon as he felt well enough.

"I told him to just do his best and he will be fine, as long as he puts the effort in."
