Peter Andre accidentally sends very rude message to Boris Johnson after secret wedding

Peter Andre sent an accidentally rude - and utterly hilarious - message to Boris Johnson after hearing about his wedding.

It was revealed over the weekend that the Prime Minister had married his partner Carrie Symonds - mother of his youngest child - in a secret ceremony at Westminster Cathedral.

Mysterious Girl singer Peter meant to send his best wishes to the politician as he shared a snapshot from the wedding, but his unfortunate choice of words appeared to be more about the wedding night, prompting much laughter from his followers.

"Enjoy your wedding BJ," he captioned his post, proving the importance of punctuation.

After people pointed out his blunder, he later added: "Probs said that wrong @borisjohnsonuk"

"most men’s dream wedding," one of his fans had joked.

While another quipped: "We know what you got off Emily on your wedding night then"

"He'll enjoy that after," a third laughed.

While many people across the UK sent their best wishes to the PM and his bride, their nuptials also earned some criticism.

A priest sparked discussion on social media after questioning how Boris, who's been divorced twice, was allowed to get married at Westminster Cathedral.

After news of the wedding broke, Father Mark Drew took to Twitter to vent his frustrations.

He wrote: "Can anyone explain to me how 'Boris' Johnson, who left the Catholic Church while at Eaton [sic] and is twice divorced, can be married at Westminster Cathedral, while I have to tell practicing Catholics in good faith who want a second marriage in Church that it's not possible?"

It's since been suggested that Johnson was allowed to marry at the venue because his previous marriages had not been Catholic ceremonies and because he converted to Anglicanism during his time at Eton and was later Confirmed in the Church of England.

That would mean that in the eyes of the Roman Catholic Church, this would have been his first wedding.

The happy couple shared the first pictures from their secret ceremony a day later.

They beamed big smiles and gazed into each other's eyes as they posed up in the garden at 10 Downing Street.

Carrie was wearing a stunning £2,870 designer wedding dress, from Christos Costarellos, which she's said to have rented for a tiny fraction of the price, and a floral headpiece, while Boris wore a suit and tie.
