Pete Doherty has left his wild rock days behind him and now is enjoying a calmer life in France and he is looking totally different from his heyday.
The 42-year-old former Babyshambles and The Libertines singer lived life to excess in the early 2000s and was known to have a gaunt frame from years of drug abuse.
He now looks a far cry from those days as he walk his dog in France, where he lives with girlfriend and Puta Madres bandmate Katia De Vidas..
The sunshine seems to be having a positive effect as he looks to have changed his life around from being arrested in a Paris suburb, 18 months ago, when he was caught buying cocaine in the street.
A source has told The Sun that Pete has taken time during the coronavirus lockdown to carve out a new life.
They said that Pete is now "the happiest he’s ever been" after putting his "fast-paced, hedonistic lifestyle" behind him.
The source added that Pete is now "spending time in Étretat, a coastal town popular with visiting Parisians."
According to the source, Pete “still has a hand in music as that’s his number one passion" but "over the last few months he has taken his foot off the pedal and has really been enjoying his downtime.”
After some tempestuous relationships with the likes of model Kate Moss and tragic singer Amy Winehouse, it would seem that Pete's current partner Katia has brought a more peaceful air to his life.
The source added: "They spend lots of time cooking and walking the dog. It’s a very genteel lifestyle in comparison to the way he used to live.”
During their stroll, responsible Pete wore a face-mask while shopping at the local store and butchers.
