Pete Davidson's Peacock Series 'Bupkis' Canceled After One Season

Peacock comedy series 'Bupkis' starring Pete Davidson concludes after one season.

Pete Davidson’s Peacock comedy series, Bupkis, has unfortunately come to an end after just one season. The semi-autobiographical show, which premiered in May 2023, will not be returning for a second season despite being renewed for more episodes in June of the same year.

In a statement, Davidson expressed that Bupkis was a personal project that allowed him to share his struggles and family dynamics in his own way. The Saturday Night Live alum referred to the series as the project he is most proud of in his career and thanked the cast, writers, and production team for their contributions.

The show followed a fictionalized version of Davidson as he navigated fame, mental health, and relationships while living back home in Staten Island with his mother and grandfather. Guest stars on the series included Bobby Cannavale, Ray Romano, Machine Gun Kelly, and more.

Despite the cancelation, the season finale of Bupkis left viewers with a major cliffhanger as Davidson's character was left seriously injured after a car accident. The show's cancelation comes after Davidson's brief stint in rehab in June 2023 for struggles with PTSD and borderline personality disorder.

On a personal note, Davidson has recently been in the spotlight for his relationship with actress Madelyn Cline. The couple, who began dating in September 2023, have been keeping their romance low-key. Cline has reportedly won over Davidson's family, with his mother and sister expressing their happiness for the couple.

Cline even made a cameo in Davidson's January Netflix special, Turbo Fonzarelli, further solidifying their relationship in the public eye. The pair has been spotted attending events together, showing a growing bond between them.

As Davidson moves on to the next chapter in his career and personal life, fans are eager to see what the future holds for the talented comedian and actor.
