Pete Davidson reportedly ruffling feathers at SNL due to preferential treatment: 'The cast isn't into him'

Pete Davidson is said to be ruffling feathers behind-the-scenes at Saturday Night Live.

The comedian, who recently criticised the sketch series for “making fun of [him]”, is reportedly getting “unfair star treatment” from creator and producer Lorne Michaels.

According to a source speaking to Page Six, Davidson “has a pretty cushy gig”, which has allegedly led to him falling out of favour with his fellow cast members.

“The cast isn’t into him,” the source said, claiming that he does not play a big role in the writers’ room.

The source added: “He’s just there – he doesn’t add much.”

Earlier this week, Davidson told radio star Charlamagne tha God: “I personally think I should be done with that show because they make fun of me.

“They think I’m f***ing dumb… I have a weird feeling in that building where I don’t know whose team they’re playing for, really; if I’m the joke or I’m in on the joke.”

Despite his claims, sources told Page Six that Michaels had personally granted Davidson time off to both shoot Jason Gunn’s Suicide Squad sequel and attend the wedding of his friend Ricky Velez, which is said to be ”unheard of”.
