Pete Davidson and Snoop Dogg to captain 2023 Pro Bowl

Pete Davidson and Snoop Dogg will captain the NFL’s 2023 Pro Bowl, according to People.

The 29-year-old comic will team-up with former Giants quarterback Eli Manning, who is coaching the National Football Conference team when the NFL’s all-star competition gets underway Feb. 5 in Las Vegas.

Snoop Dogg, the 51-year-old rapper born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., will work with Manning’s Super Bowl winning brother Peyton Manning, who’s coaching the American Football Conference’s squad.

“I’m comin’ back to the NFL field, but this time, instead of performing, I’m going head-to-head with Pete and competing for the title of The Pro Bowl Games Champion,” Snoop Dogg told People.

He was part of an all-star lineup including Dr. Dre, Eminem and 50 Cent that performed at halftime during the 2022 Super Bowl in Los Angeles.

Davidson said he took the Pro Bowl gig “To impress my Uncle Mike.”

Snoop Dogg is a big football fan who supports the AFC’s Pittsburgh Steelers. Davidson is a fan of the Giants, who compete in the NFC.

The Manning brothers are both two-time Super Bowl champions. Eli Manning won twice with the Giants. His older brother led the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos — both AFC teams — to football’s Promised Land during his Hall of Fame career.

The pair hosts ESPN2′s “ManningCast” game coverage, which has been a fan favorite since launching in 2021. Snoop Dogg appeared on the program earlier this month, where he told the Mannings that, despite hailing from California, he became a fan of the Steelers watching their dad Archie Manning play for the Pittsburgh team in the 1970s.
