Pete Carroll: Seahawks have talked to Adrian Peterson about coaching

Adrian Peterson only played one game in a Seahawks uniform before a back injury put him on the sidelines. Peterson’s value has gone far beyond his own performance, though. AD is being credited with helping to inspire the recent explosion by Rashaad Penny, who was just named the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Week.

Peterson’s obvious positive influence has brought out suggestions that he should be a running backs coach. Apparently, it might be a thing. Head coach Pete Carroll says he’s talked to Peterson about coaching. However, Peterson wants to keep playing for now.

Peterson is not the athlete he was and his playing days are nearly over, whether he can find a team to pay him in 2022 or not. A four-time All Pro and former MVP, Peterson has nothing left to prove as a player. He obviously has ability as a motivator and that’s something this team sorely needs.

File this one under the to be continued category.
