Pete Carroll Responds to Viral QB Clip With Hilarious Celebrity Reaction Video

Pete Carroll couldn’t be any further from the battle to be the NFL’s best quarterback, and yet, somehow, the Seahawks coach’s skills under center have still proven to be divisive on social media.

Well, that is, if you count the responses from Snoop Dogg, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and Will Ferrell to the impressive yet heavily-edited montage of the 71-year-old scrambling and throwing passes as a “heated debate.”

Seattle shared a hilarious video on Saturday of Carroll offering a rebuttal to, arguably, the harshest and most famous critics of his viral showing at Thursday’s practice. Up first in the clip was Snoop Dogg, who kicked things off as only he can.

“Pete Carroll, the nerve of you to treat your players with such abuse, you should be sanctioned, dog,” said Snoop Dogg before vowing to seek payback, on behalf of Death Row Records, if the coach didn’t clean up his act.

After Snoop’s more abrasive approach, Goodell appeared to say he was “very concerned” by the video, telling Carroll that he keeps “hearing about the abuse that you’re putting on your defensive secondary.”

As for Ferrell’s take … well, his NSFW rant disapproving Carroll’s tactics of trying to become QB1 is, honestly, something that’s better seen than described.

Needless to say, Carroll, the NFL’s oldest coach, likely won’t be the first pick in any celebrity flag football games, although that likely wouldn’t stop him from playing anyway. The Super Bowl-winning coach said to close the video, “I had no idea you guys felt like that, but hey, you’re either competing or you’re not.”
